If present, target antigens (Candida, T. vaginalis, G. vaginalis) bind to their corresponding red latex-labeled antibodies in the conjugate pad.

The formed antigen-latex-antibody complexes migrate chromatographically along the membrane.

Each complex is captured by a second, immobilized antibody at its specific test line (T), generating a visible red band for a positive result.
